What is happiness?

Did you know it was positive psychology researcher Sonja Lyubomirsky who coined the popularly accepted definition of happiness as “the experience of joy, contentment, or positive well-being, combined with a sense that one’s life is good, meaningful, and worthwhile.

So it must be this combination of short term generally happier emotions in the present moment, like regularly feeling grateful or joyous without too many “negative emotions” clouding our overall wellbeing; combined with the broader feeling that one’s life is meaningful and aligned to our deep personal values.
